Assist the OVHA Pharmacy Director in the management of the Vermont Health Access Pharmacy Benefit (PBM) Program for Vermont’s publicly funded health insurance programs.

Manage OVHA’s programs compliance activities in relation to federal requirements for the use of tamper-resistant prescription pads. Act as the provider contact on the subject.
Manage the PBM quarterly and annual reports, including writing, publishing and distribution. Contribute to the writing, publishing and distribution of PBM materials for the OVHA Budget Book and Agency of Human Services Blue Book.
Track and monitor the costs in relation to services in the PBM contract for OVHA and the drug rebate procurement contract for the Sovereign States Drug Consortium (SSDC), a multi-state purchasing pool of which Vermont is a part.

Managed the billing and accounts receivable for this 150-bed skilled nursing facility, as well as supervised the accounts payable and resident trust bookkeepers and a licensed nurse functioning in a financial capacity.
This position required an extensive knowledge Medicare, Medicaid and health insurance regulations, as well a general understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
Performed collections and worked with residents and their families to resolve insurance and financial issues.
Responsible for meeting corporate revenue expectations.
